RMR Clubhouse Expansion
RMR leased the clubhouse space at 406 Hudgins Road in 2010. Over the years, as our membership grew and layout needs expanded to include other gauges (N and HO), the club sought out opportunities to find additional space, looking at new lease options in the Fredericksburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania area.
In April 2024, the opportunity presented itself at our current location to lease an additional @ 1500 sq ft adjacent to our existing 900 sq ft space. In May the club re-negotiated our current lease taking the additional space “as is”, and began work to renovate/refurbish the space to support our expanded club operations. The members will begin construction of new layouts in the space beginning in October 2024. Below are some photos of our new space at Hudgins Road.

New RMR Club HO Layout
With a growing number of members with interest in HO scale trains, a group got together with leadership from Bob Hunter to build a transportable layout to reside in the new clubhouse space. However, it is designed with the intent of it being transportable to be displayed at our external events. Below are some picture of that layout which debuted at our display at Ashland Train Day in 2024.
